Instructions

In this part of the survey, we are interested in processes that happen within relationships. Read each of the following statements, thinking about one person you love or care for deeply (your boyfriend/girlfriend/spouse). Rate your agreement with each statement according to the following scale and mark the appropriate number between 1 (not at all) and 5 (extremely).

Scoring

The TLS-15 scale is divided into three subscales: Intimacy (items 1–5), Passion (items 6–10), and Commitment (items 11–15). Each item is rated on a scale from 1 to 5. The subscale score is the mean of the five items within each subscale. Higher scores indicate greater levels of the respective component of love.
